Congratulations Natalie

and best of luck

We received the following letter from Natalie this past week. Thank you, Natalie, and keep up the good work.

After my first semester of college, I am writing this letter to express how grateful I am to have been a recipient of your scholarship. As I was applying last year, I knew receiving scholarships would help alleviate some of my tuition costs, but I never realized how the funds would affect me in my day to day life at college.

As an interior design major, I am in a foundation of design studio this year. Throughout my first semester, I often found myself needing various supplies for the projects I was working on. Left to rely solely on my own funds for everything, this would have been stressful for me, and I may not have been able to afford the best supplies for what I was designing. However, with the tuition and fees help I received from scholarships like yours, I was in a position to be able to focus on my design work rather than wondering where the money was going to come from to meet these expenses. Your scholarship also paved the way for me to pay for my other books, such as in my Italian class. I have enjoyed beginning to learn this language, especially because I hope to eventually study in Italy to acquire my Master of Interior Design.

I hope this has given you a glimpse of how much my education has been impacted by receiving your scholarship. I was able to direct all my attention towards learning and getting involved during my first semester rather than having to worry about how to afford my tuition, fees, room and board, and books and supplies.

All my best,

Natalie Fleshman
