Yes, it is time to start your planning for REUNION 2008. The CVA has put together what we feel will be another great reunion. There will be tours available on two days during the reunion. We have enclosed information on each to help you make your decision. We are leaving plenty of time to enjoy the sun and surf. We will be staying at the:

The room rate is $91.00 per night and runs from 6/21/08 to 6/30/08.

You must make your reservation directly with the Crowne Plaza. You will need to use USS AMERICA ROOM BLOCK to receive this rate. The cutoff date for the Hotel is May 24, 2008.

Wednesday June 25, 2008

• ST. AUGUSTINE HISTORIC BUS TOUR 
  Buses depart the hotel at 9:00am.  
  
  You will arrive at St. Augustine at 10am. Tour guides dressed in period clothes join us on the bus. You will travel to the Fountain of Youth to learn of the early explorations of Ponce de Leon and the Timucuan Indians. The tour includes stops at Mission Nombre De Dios, The Castillo De San Marcos and the Flagler Memorial Church.  Once the tour is complete, the bus will stop in the historic district for lunch (on your own) and shopping.  The bus will depart for the hotel at 2:30.

Thursday June 26, 2008

• NAVAL STATION MAYPORT and THE ANHEUSER-BUSCH BREWERY
  Buses depart the hotel at 8:45am.
  You will arrive at the base at 9:30am. The CVA will hold a Memorial Service during the tour.  This tour includes lunch on the base at 11:30am.  The bus departs the base at 1:30pm.
  We then stop at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. You overlook the floor of the Brew Hall, to see the brewing process and the bottling and canning operations. Midway through the tour, you will relax in the Hospitality Room over complimentary tasting of the popular beers.  Buses arrive at the hotel at 3:30

Friday June 27, 2008

• The Business meeting will be held at 10 am.
  Banquet 6pm
  (Miss AMERICA 2008 and a Representative from the office of the Secretary of the Navy!)
